One of my favorite times of year is comming closer everyday. The air is filled with over animated feelings of the most niave people Hogwarts has to offer. Immature girls gushing over who they want to be their valentine and nervous amature guys trying there best to impress them. The whole season if laughable.

I have a lot of things to get done before I run out of time.

It has very recently been brought to my attention that my status here at Hogwarts may be slipping. It's time to fix this.

I have been realizing lately that I have been wasting this entire term. I am sick of sitting around and letting life play itself out. Thats not my style, I am master of my own destiny and thats how I like it. I need to get that back.

I hate January, I really do. It always seems to make for awful quidditch weather. Not to mention the unbearable lull that life in Hogwarts always seems to slip into for the winter months. Everything as of late has been so quiet I sometimes forget that I am in a castle with hundreds of other people. I haven't even seen the mates in ages which is strange because we sleep in the same room. Which reminds me...

It finally seems like the castle is getting back to some normalcy after what happened in Hogsmeade. It really affected us all more than anyone is willing to admit. I can't remember a time when I have felt the things that I felt when I saw the mayhem and destruction that was taking place. It was a terrible feeling.

I'm glad that everyone is at least starting put it behind them though, I think christmas coming is putting everyone in better spirits.

Im really not ready for this holiday, I still have so much to do, but nonetheless I am glad it is almost here.

Feel free to bow to my pumpkin carving skills at your leisure. Once again I have brought glory to the Gryffindor house, as expected. Hats off to all of the other entrants though, especially Mr. Sirius Black, there were some very good pumpkins entered, however I think we can all safely say that the he who deserved it won.

In other news, I don't think I can take much more early winter boredom.

We lost! I can't believe we let those Slytherin gits get the best of us. That is to say my teamates let them get the best of us, I played an exceptional game if I do say so myself.

Ah well, the season is young and there are other more important things to consider. Halloween is comming, any suggestions as to what I should be? I really haven't given it far as much consideration as Sirius...which reminds me I have a few owls to send.

Ok, I can't fight it any longer, I think that I am sick. I owe thanks to Messrs. Lupin and Black for passing your virus around. It really is quite terrible, I can't eat, can't sleep, I can't even play quidditch.

I've been noticing however that there are some very strange things going on around here the past couple of days. Everywhere I go I hear their whispers and even when I lay in bed I feel as if I am being watched.

I can't say much more until I figure this out though, I am sure they will be reading this...

Something strange is happening within this castle. I'm not quite sure what it is yet, I just hope that it isn't contageous. Sirius has got me quite worried

Hogsmeade the other day was...brilliant. With the exception at my "mates'" attempt at interupting Lily and my day. It turned out alright though because in the end justice was served. All in all it was a great day from begining to end.

How long is one month? Seriously, I can't believe we have only been in school a few weeks. Perhaps it is only dragging by because nothing exciting has happened as of late. Everyone seems to burdened with homework and what not like that is all there is in the world. I haven't seen the mates in ages, I wonder what they have been up to...

At least the quidditch season is about to start.

Girls, mates, school, they are all so confusing. The craziness of the first week seems to have settled, and given way to insanity of a different kind. I haven't really seen much of the Mates lately, especially Sirius, but I guess we are all busy with different things. I suppose that is part of growing up, as is some of the other things that have been happening lately.

I got out of my detentions early, and rightfully so. It seems Andromeda and Longbottom both agreed that I wasn't at fault for that nutter attacking me. Late is better than never I guess.

Things have certainly been...interesting around here lately. Not in a bad way though, I am glad that the new term is starting out with so much happening, hopefully it sets the pace for the comming months. I am however amused not very happy about the suits of armor spewing paint and glitter all over me twice. Personally, I suspect it was some clever sixth yearsPeeves doing, hmmm maybe I will write the headboy or headgirl and tell them what I think...

Anyway, between the paint spewing suits of armor, Peter's little adventure (which for the record I do not support and when I see him plan on thumping him one), and a few...other things life back at Hogwarts is everything I had hoped.

Oh, and I read somewhere about Quidditch tryouts, so what if it's about a month away time to start practicing.

I personally can't wait for school to start again, but then who could
blame me? It seems like it has been forever since me and my mates have had
one of our monthly runs; I think that I am starting to get cabin fever. I'm
not cut out for a life living by the rules without magic, I need some
freedom.

Besides, it will be good to be back in a place where my talents and
charm
are appreciated, as they properly should be.


I have to run, my mum is yelling at me and I have a few owls to send.
